Key Text: Matthew 14:13-21 (NKJV)
"When Jesus heard it, He departed from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself. But when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities. And when Jesus went out, He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, ‘This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.’ But Jesus said to them, ‘They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.’ And they said to Him, ‘We have here only five loaves and two fish.’ He said, ‘Bring them here to Me.’ Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained."

Introduction:
In Matthew 14, Jesus takes five loaves and two fish and feeds over 5,000 people. This miracle teaches us that God can take our little and turn it into much. Today, we’ll explore five keys to experiencing God’s supernatural provision in your life.
1. God’s Compassion is the Source of Miracles (Matthew 14:14)
Jesus was moved with compassion for the multitudes, and His compassion led to miracles of healing and provision.
Illustration: The Widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:8-16). During a famine, God sent Elijah to a widow who had only a handful of flour and a little oil. Because of God’s compassion, her jar of flour and jug of oil never ran dry until the famine ended.
Application: No matter how desperate your situation, God’s compassion is greater. He sees your need and is moved to act. Trust in His love for you.
2. Bring What You Have to Jesus (Matthew 14:17-18)
The disciples saw only scarcity, but Jesus said, “Bring them here to Me.”God doesn’t need much—He just needs your willingness to offer what you have.
Illustration: Moses’ Rod (Exodus 4:2-4). God used a simple rod in Moses’ hand to perform miracles, including parting the Red Sea. What seems insignificant in your hands becomes powerful in God’s hands.
Application: What do you have? Time, talent, resources, or even just faith? Bring it to Jesus. He can multiply it beyond your imagination.
3. Obedience Releases Miracles (Matthew 14:19)
Jesus instructed the disciples to have the people sit down. Their obedience created the environment for the miracle to happen.
Illustration: Naaman’s Healing (2 Kings 5:10-14). Naaman was told to dip seven times in the Jordan River. At first, he resisted, but when he obeyed, he was healed of leprosy.
Application: Miracles often require obedience to God’s instructions, even when they don’t make sense. Are you willing to obey His Word? Your miracle is on the other side of your obedience.
4. God Blesses and Multiplies What You Offer (Matthew 14:19-20)Jesus took the loaves and fish, blessed them, and broke them. What was broken and given to God became more than enough.
Illustration: The Jar of Oil (2 Kings 4:1-7). A widow’s small jar of oil multiplied to fill every vessel she collected, paying off her debts and providing for her family.
Application: When you surrender what you have to God, He blesses and multiplies it. Don’t hold back—give Him your all and watch Him do the impossible.
5. God’s Provision is More Than Enough (Matthew 14:20-21)
Not only did everyone eat and were filled, but there were also twelve baskets left over. God’s miracles exceed our expectations.
Illustration: The Wedding at Cana (John 2:1-11).
Jesus turned water into wine—not just any wine, but the best wine. His miracles are always abundant and perfect.
Application: God doesn’t just meet your needs; He exceeds them. Trust that His provision will be more than enough for you and others.
Conclusion:
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just as He fed the 5,000, He can provide for you supernaturally. His compassion moves Him to act, your small offering becomes mighty in His hands, obedience releases miracles, His blessing multiplies, and His provision is always more than enough.
