January 7th Devotional Meditation

key Scripture:

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.” 1 Peter 2:2 (NIV)

Meditation

Beloved, an eagle that soars does not fly on empty! Its legendary strength and far-seeing vision are fueled by what it consumes. So it is with you, a spiritual eagle, called to mount up on wings in 2026. Your capacity to run without weariness and walk without fainting is directly tied to your daily nourishment. The supernatural life is sustained by supernatural food.

The Apostle Peter issues a passionate command: Crave. This is not a passive suggestion, but an active, hungry pursuit. You are to desire the pure, unadulterated Word of God with the single-minded intensity of a newborn. This "spiritual milk" is the very essence of Christ—His character, His promises, His truth. It is your necessary sustenance for growth, for strength, and for maintaining your soaring altitude in the Spirit. Do not expect to fly on yesterday’s meal. Your spirit must be fed today. Make your time in His Word non-negotiable, the holy ground where your strength is renewed and your vision is clarified.

Declaration

Today, I stir up a fresh, holy hunger within me. I declare that I crave the pure milk of God’s Word above all else. It is my daily sustenance and my source of growth. I will not neglect my spirit’s nourishment. As I feed on His truth, I am strengthened for the journey, empowered for the ascent, and matured in my salvation. My spiritual diet fortifies my flight.

Prayer

Father, I come to You hungry. Ignite in me a relentless craving for Your Word. Let it be sweeter to me than any earthly distraction. As I open Your scriptures, feed my spirit. Nourish me with Your truth, that I may grow strong in You. Transform my mind, fortify my heart, and energize my faith. I receive Your Word now as the essential fuel for the glorious flight You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Feed to Fly:
Let your first and deepest hunger today be for His presence and His Word. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Then, step into your day nourished, fortified, and ready to soar.
