Matthew 9:35 NKJV - "Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."
Jesus is our healer. He performed many miraculous healings during His ministry on earth. He healed people of every sickness and disease, demonstrating His supernatural power and His great love for His children.
As we look at the stories of Jesus' healings, we see that many people were healed because of their faith in Him. They believed that He could heal them, and they received their healing because of their faith.
We must have faith to receive God's healing power. We must believe that God is able to heal us, and we must trust in His love and His goodness. Even in the most dire cases of sickness and disease, God has the power to heal us, and we must hold on to this truth.
Let us look at two illustrations from the Bible that illustrate God's supernatural healing power:
- In Mark 2, the paralyzed man was lowered through the roof by his friends. Jesus saw their faith and told the man to get up, pick up his mat, and walk. The man was healed because of his faith and the faith of his friends.
- In Matthew 8, the centurion came to Jesus and asked Him to heal his servant, who was paralyzed and in great pain. Jesus said that He would go and heal the servant, but the centurion replied, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed." Jesus marveled at the centurion's faith and healed the servant from that moment.
These stories show us that faith in Jesus is the key to receiving God's healing power. We must believe in His love and His power to heal, and we must trust in Him with all our hearts.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we thank you for your great love for us. We know that you are our healer, and we believe in your supernatural power to heal us. We ask you to increase our faith, so that we can receive your healing power in our lives. Even in the most dire cases of sickness and disease, we trust in your goodness and your love for us. We thank you for your healing touch upon our bodies, minds, and spirits. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
