September 3 Devotional Meditation

Key Verse: “For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.” (John 5:26)
Devotional:
This verse is about a special kind of life. It’s not just about breathing and your heart beating. This life, called zoe in the Bible, is the powerful, never-ending, glorious life of God Himself.
Think of it this way: God the Father is the original source of all life. He doesn't get His life from anyone else; He is life. And He gave that same exact, powerful, healing and miracle life to His Son, Jesus. Jesus has that life (Zoe) inside Himself. He is the source of life for everyone else.
Now, here’s the most amazing news for everyone who believes in Jesus: Jesus shares this Zoe life with us.
When you put your trust in Jesus, a miracle happens. The very same life that the Father has in Himself, and that Jesus has in Himself, becomes your new life. It’s like Jesus plugs your heart into His endless miraculous power supply.
This means:
· Your new life is powerful. It’s not just about trying harder to be good. It’s about the life of Jesus inside you giving you the strength and desire to follow Him.
· Your new life is secure. Because this life comes from Jesus, it can’t be taken away. It doesn’t depend on how you feel. It depends on Him, and His life never ends.
· Your new life is a connection to God.
That feeling of God being close? That’s His zoe life in you! You are now connected to the source of all life, love, and joy. You have the life of God inside you. That’s what it means to be saved! It’s so much more than just going to heaven someday. It’s about having heaven’s life inside you today.
Let's Pray:
Dear Jesus, Thank you that you have life inside yourself, just like the Father. It’s hard to understand, but it’s amazing.
Thank you for giving your life to me when I believed in you. Help me to remember today that I’m not living by my own power. Your life is in me. When I feel weak, help me to trust your strength inside me. When I feel unsure, remind me that I am connected to you forever.
Help my actions today show the world what your life looks like—full of love, joy, and peace. In your powerful name, Amen.
